Magical Winter Skies

With December now upon us, I wanted to start off the month creatively with a watercolour piece inspired by the recent colourful skies we’ve been seeing in the evenings here. I love how the sky changes so much from the warmer seasons to the colder ones, so I wanted to capture that twilight feeling in this painting. Being surrounded by the mountains I thought it was only fitting I add in some dark peaks for contrast, and the rest was just a mix of purple, pink, light and dark blue, all swirled together to try and recreate the almost magical skies that seem to appear overnight in winter.

I’ve got a fair few winter and Christmas themed posts coming up in the next few weeks so hopefully I’ll be able to stick to more of a schedule and keep in touch with everyone. I’ve been so behind with things recently so I apologise for how long it’s taken me to get back into the swing of things, but thank you all for your patience, it means a lot. I know this is only a short, craft related posts today but I wanted to share something art based to start off the week, so I hope you all like it.

Hope you’re all well, and have had a good start to the week!

Well that’s lovely! I second the camel idea! x
You could also paint one of those on a paper background and cut out star shapes and hearts to stick on black card- that would look nice also!
