Sunshine After Rain

My Mum’s blinds always create some interesting shape and light displays when the sun is shining, but when it’s raining, it’s even better. The combination of sun and rain creates some amazing photo opportunities, wherever you are, and the promise of a rainbow sighting always gets me reaching for my camera, but when the sunshine hit the raindrops on my Mum’s window after one of these rainy days, and came streaming through the slats in her blind, it looked so pretty so I had to get some photos. The darkness the blinds created as the sun slipped behind the houses opposite meant the rays just filled the room up and bounced off of the raindrops, setting gold dapples of light across my Mum’s window. Lovely to see!

Linking up with Sue for (Almost) Wordless Wednesday.

Hope your week is going well!

How lovely to see the sun peeping through like this.

I hope you survived Doris intact. Totally unscathed here, if it weren’t for my brother in law and his wife being stuck on a train somewhere between Edinburgh and Newcastle for a few hours (and of course the news reports) we’d never have known a storm was raging.
